1. What this Privacy Policy covers

This Privacy Policy describes what information we (Art Schema – “we”, “Art Schema”) collect through our website ( and website hosting (collectively, the “Services”), how we use and store it, what steps we take to protect and secure it and helps you understand your rights – whether you are a user of our services, end user or simply a visitor of our website.

We use personal information provided to us for the purpose of running and improving our Services. We do not sell any personal information about you and we do not share such kind of information unless you’ve specifically allowed it, or for the limited purposes described below.

By using our Services, you consent to the collection, processing and use of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. When you access or use the Services and/or the Site, we collect various personal information. We collect personal information when you sign up with us and create an account to use our Services or are invited to become a User by another User. Specifically, we collect your name, last time and email address.

We use this information to set up your Account, identify you, provide our Services and contact you, communicate with you about your transactions or send you emails about our Service-related announcements, offers, promotions and respond to your inquiries. If you wish not to receive such marketing or promotional communications, you can follow the unsubscribe instructions included in those communications. We may also periodically email you important information, announcements, reminders regarding our Services or security, privacy and administrative issues related to your use of the Services and emails related to your transactions. We also use your personal information to make sure that we comply with legal requirements.

(b) Usage session details.
Art Schema automatically receives information about your activity on our Services or Users’ sites from your browser, such as how and when you sign in to your account, your IP address, your device or browser type, operating system, internet service provider, preference settings, location information, language, cookies, the web pages you visited before coming to our or our Users’ websites and information about how you browse through the Services or our Users’ sites.

We use this information to give you access to and to improve the performance of the Services, analyze how these Services are used, evaluate them, monitor the effectiveness of our advertising, remember your preferences and customize and personalize the Services for you. For example, we can use your location information to determine your language preferences, display specific offers and provide you accurate date information. (c) Billing information.
If you use Paid Services, we collect your business address, business ID number, bank account information and government-issued identification information, such as Social Security Number. We collect payment details from our payment processor (such as your credit card information) if you sign up for Paid Services.

We use this information to provide you with Art Schema Paid Services, process payments, invoice you and to comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. We may ask you to select your jurisdiction when you sign up for Paid Services to determine how much tax we need to collect from you, if any. We transmit your payment information via an encrypted connection to our Payment Processor when you provide or update your payment information to use the Paid Services. We do not store any of your sensitive billing details. Our Payment Processor uses and processes your payment information in accordance with its own Privacy Policy. If your subscription is auto-renewing, our Payment Processor stores your payment information on its secure payment gateway until termination of the subscription.

(d) Third-party accounts.
Art Schema may collect your Third Party Services account information, such as the e-mail or username for a connected Stripe, Google or Facebook account, only as needed to provide the Services. We may collect this information if you submit them to us directly or if you use a Third Party Service while creating your Account.

(e) Correspondences.
We maintain communications and their contents sent to us via emails or through customer support services.

We use this information to assist you and resolve your issues.

(f) Your Content.
When you use the Services, we store and process your Content, files and any other information related to that content in order to provide the Services, as described in our Terms of Service.

(g) End User information.
We collect personal information about your End users who browse through your sites.

We use this information to provide you with our Services. We usually do it based on anonymous, pseudonymized or aggregated information which does not focus on your End users individually.

(h) Identity verification
We may require you to verify your identity if, for example, we have concerns about identity fake, or if we need to authenticate your account or for other legal reasons. Pleas note, that your refusal to provide such personal information may result in being unable to use our Services if that information is necessary to provide you with the Services or if we are legally obliged to collect that information.

3. How we collect personal information
When you use our Services, we collect your personal information in a number of ways.

We collect personal information that you provide, such as when creating an Account. You provide us your name and email address when signing up for your Account. You also provide us with some personal information when you send us emails and other communications or when you set up some preferences in your Account. We can receive some personal information from third parties, such as your contact information (name and email address) when you sign up using a Third Party Service based on your privacy settings on that Third Party Service, or when you make payments to us using our payment processor. We receive limited information about your payment card from our payment processor (currently Stripe, which processes your payment information in accordance with its Privacy Policy), such as the last four digits, the country of issuance and the expiration date.

4. How we share your personal information

Art Schema does not share your personal information with third parties except as described in this policy. We do not share or sell your personal information with third parties for their promotional purposes.

Art Schema may share your personal information to operate or improve the Services, to detect fraud or to do something that you have asked us to do.

We use certain third parties to provide, promote and protect the Services, such as hosting and server services, web analytics, performance measurement and data optimization services, communications and content delivery networks (CDNs), data and cyber security services, session recording and remote access services.

We share your personal information via an encrypted connection to our payment processor to bill you for services and to provide you with our Paid Services.

We share with our Users data regarding how their End Users interact with their site so that they can analyze and improve their services.

We share personal information with third parties for advertising reasons and monitor its effectiveness. We may share pseudonymized email addresses with social media platforms on which we advertise to avoid showing ads to people who already use our Services.

We may store Personal Information in locations outside our direct control (for instance, on servers or databases co-located with hosting providers).

Art Schema may disclose your personal information to third parties if it is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, respond to court orders or legal process, lawful requests by public authorities, protect our or others’ rights, defend against legal claims, prevent fraud or abuse of Art Schema or our Users and End Users, prevent and deal with security issues and technical problems, and if in our judgement disclosure is required or appropriate. We may provide our users with notice that their information is being requested if we receive law enforcement requests for information.

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), the following can be our legal basis for collecting and using your personal information:

We will retain, maintain and store your personal information for as long as you your account is active to provide you the Services.

We may retain your personal information on our servers and backup storage as necessary to comply with the law, protect our rights, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

We don’t immediately delete personal information after the expiration of our Users’ trial period or cancellation of Services. We may keep personal information for a reasonable period of time in case the User decides to reactivate their account.

We may retain indefinitely anonymized or de-personalized information to improve our Services.

We will ensure that your personal information is deleted once it is no longer needed.

You can access, correct and edit your personal information you have provided to us, such as contact or payment information at any time by logging into your Account and updating your information.

You can delete your Account through your Account settings page; however, please note that we may retain certain information to the extent necessary to protect our legal interests or to comply with regulatory requirements or as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy. Besides, note that because of technical reasons it is likely to take time to delete your personal information from our systems.

If you are an End User of one of our User’s site, please contact them with respect to any information they may hold about you if you wish to exercise your rights, as we serve as a processor on their behalf.
In addition, Users in the EEA and in some other jurisdictions have certain rights to obtain information about what personal data we store about them, to have access to that information, have a copy of that information, request correction, update and erasure of such data. Art Schema employs security measures and uses physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information.
However, regardless of the measures taken by us, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of your personal information or any other content you upload or share with us and you do so at your own risk. No service and no data transmissions over the Internet are completely secure. We make reasonable efforts to ensure security on our systems and to keep your information safe.

Your account information is password-protected. Your Account’s password is stored using a salted, variable work factor, one-way hash algorithm.

Art Schema uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions (such as your payment information and geolocation). Credit card numbers are never stored on our database or servers. We also offer HTTPS secure access to most areas on our Services.

We regularly monitor security systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. If we learn of a security systems breach, we will notify you by email so that you can take appropriate protective steps.

10. End User Information 

When you create and publish your Websites, your Websites may have End Users. We may collect, use, store or delete information from your End Users on your behalf in accordance with this Privacy Policy to enable you to use the Services.

You may collect and use your End Users’ information to analyse their interaction with your Site. However, you understand that you are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation the posting of your own privacy policy. We are not liable for your relationship with your End Users.

We serve as a “Processor” (as defined in the European Union General Data Protection Regulation) for the End Users’ information, the Users who control and operate their User Websites shall be considered as the “Controllers” of the End Users’ information.

We recommend that our Users publish their own privacy and cookie policy and comply with them.

If you are an End User, Art Schema has no direct relationship with you. We retain your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you would like to make requests regarding your personal information, please contact the owner of the website you’ve visited or used – the data controller, as we do not control your data. They may then submit those requests to us, and we will respond to those requests within a reasonable timeframe. 

11. Storage and Processing

Your information may be stored, transferred and processed in other countries than you live in – where our partners and service providers have their systems and facilities. By consenting to this Privacy Policy you represent your agreement to that transfer.

We will take all steps to safeguard the privacy and security of your personal information, wherever your personal information is transferred, stored or processed.

Users under 16 are not permitted to use Art Schema on their own. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If we become aware that the User is under the age of 16 and has provided us with personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will remove it.
