What is Art Schema?


Art Schema is a website builder that gives an opportunity to create multilanguage content based on structural data and a suitable design for it.

Who can use Art Schema?

Though Art Schema has been created for the needs of the art community it is now also oriented to individuals and communities who wish to create websites using their own data structure and design.

How to begin and how to register?

Registering on Art Schema is quite simple, it is necessary to click the button “Get Started”, choose a website type, fill in the fields for email address, password and website title. It is impossible to register on Art Schema without creating a website.

How and when to pay?

The payments on Art Schema are received through Stripe, acceptable payment methods are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB. You are not required to immediately make a payment after creating the website and you can go on with uploading your content and creating the design for your future website. 14-day free trial allows you to try out the tools and features for free. However, unless you make a payment you cannot connect a domain to your website. The payments are made annually, after paying for one year you will need to renew the subscription the same day next year.

How to connect the website to a domain?

Very easily. First you need to change the name servers of your domain provider to ns1.artschema.net, ns2.artschema.net, after that you need to go to Domains. If you haven’t made payments, you won’t be able to Add domain, if your payment has been made, you only need to write the name of the domain.

Can I invite users for my website?

There is no restriction on Art Schema for the teams of websites, you can invite people working on the website going to Users and simply filling in their email addresses. They will receive a letter where by clicking on Join Now button they can become editors of the website.

How can I add new languages?

When you create a website, you create it in English. To add one or more languages you need to go to Languages, where you can add the language you want. Now Art Schema supports 68 languages. On Art Schema there is no restriction on the number of languages your website can have.

How to set the data types?

When you create a website, we by default create standard data types taking into account the type of the website. However, through the section Data Types Art Schema allows you to fully control the data types, the possible connections between them, delete, edit as well as add new ones using Art Schema’s core data types.

How to add content?

The content on Art Schema is added inside the pages. Art Schema allows to add columns in every page to determine the structure of the page, add text, images, videos, maps, collections of pages, determine their design, set password protected pages, determine in-page navigation for the page, etc.

How to create menus?

The menus on Art Schema are controlled through the section Menus. The default menus are main menu, footer menu, social links menu. In the first two types of menus Art Schema allows to add any page from the website, links from other websites, files, as well as text information, set the distance between menu items, determine the design, etc. The Social Links Menu is different from the other two, it allows to add social media links that will appear on the website interface through icons.

How to set the basic layout of the website?

When you create a website, the layout on Art Schema is set by default on layout with left sidebar. You can change the layout of the website through the section Settings.

How does the design work?

Art Schema allows to change the website design, the design of one individual page, as well as the design of separate components inside the page. The design for the whole website can be set through the section Settings. Your changes will be seen on all the pages of your website except the ones where you have set separate design. You can set the design of separate components inside your pages by clicking on the component settings and making your changes there.
